a Consultant Data Scientist

Looking for opportunities to grow and be part of the development of our Center of Excellence dedicated to the Data Science practice? We are recruiting a data scientist/data engineer consultant.

Your function

Contributing to the data science offer by architecting, developing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems

Driving or participating to the definition, implementation, and integration of tools on transversal financial subjects: insurance, reinsurance, banking, etc.

Taking part in consulting missions as IT reference with a high focus on delivering value

Creating and animating training sessions about methodologies, computing or case studies in big-data, data analytics or software engineering

Developing and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures

Evaluating and prototyping new ideas or technologies and sharing your knowledge within the company, also by writing technical or academic papers

Actively following and anticipating finance industry trends in data science and software engineering

Attending and representing the firm in numerous professional or academic events (workshop, meet up, business colloquium, hackathon, etc.)

Your profile

You can demonstrate between 0 and 3 years experience or postdoc level, ideally but not necessarily, in financial and are holding a PhD or master degreee in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Engineering - Specialization in statistics, IT and machine learning

You have experience in applied statistics and data mining techniques (linear regression, logistic regression, text mining, classification, multivariate analysis, decision tree, random forest, K-means, deep neural networks, Bayesian models, …)

You have good exposure and experience with data intelligence and big-data technologies

You have experience with development automation and devops tools

Fluent in English, French or Dutch is a plus

Coding experience in Python and R

Data visualization experience on ggplot, d3.js

Tool deployment, TensorFlow, big data modeling work experience with Hadoop or Spark is a plus
