Your will take part with the Head of the practice in numerous highly challenging projects such as:

Contribute to the data science offer by architecting, developing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems

Drive or participate to the definition, implementation, and integration of tools on transversal financial subjects: insurance, reinsurance, banking, etc.

Take part to consulting missions as IT reference with a high focus on delivering value

Create and animate training sessions about methodologies, computing or case studies in big-data, data-analytics or software engineering

Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

Evaluate and prototype new ideas or technologies and share your knowledge within the company, also by writing technical or academic papers

Actively follow and anticipate finance industry trends in data science and software engineering

Attend and represent the firm in numerous professional or academic events (workshop, meet up, business colloquium, hackaton, etc.)

Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience or postdoc level, ideally but not necessarily, in financial sector
  • Strong experience on applied statistics and data mining techniques (linear regression, logistic regression, text mining, classification, multivariate analysis, decision tree, random forest, K-means, deep neural networks, Bayesian models, …)
  • Strong exposure and experience with data-intelligence and big-data technologies
  • Experience with development automation and devops tools
  • Good ranking in Kaggle competitions or similar is a plus
  • Fluent in English and have a good level of French
Education
  • PhD or Master Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Engineering - Specialization in statistics, IT and machine learning

IT Skills
  • Coding experience in Python, R, Matlab, Scala, Julia, or Java
  • Big data modeling work experience with Hadoop or Spark
  • Proficient with NoSQL databases (such as ElasticSearch, MongoDB, HBase or Cassandra), SQL or relational databases
  • Data visualization experience on ggplot, d3.js or Tableau
  • Experience in an agile, scrum, lean and devOps software and culture
  • TensorFlow or Theano experience is a plus
