Job offer: Senior Non-Life Actuary with pricing experience

Reacfin is currently looking for an experienced Senior Non-Life Actuary with pricing experience (preferably in commercial lines) to join their growing team of experts

Your role

In this function, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality actuarial services to our clients, assisting them in making informed decisions related to pricing strategies, risk assessment, and profitability optimization. Your deep understanding of non-life insurance products, strong analytical skills, and exceptional communication abilities will be key assets in this position.
You will be part of our Non-Life Center of Excellence, and as such you are also interested in working on other non-life assignments (reserving, reinsurance, Solvency 2, IFRS17).

Responsibilities:

Participate in the development of new products and the revision of existing products and rates to meet profitability and growth targets.

In this context, develop and analyze (technical) pricing tools and product profitability studies (SAS, R, Python).

Provide state of the art support to our clients regarding their technical pricing, commercial pricing and product development.

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes that could impact pricing strategies, and adapt approaches accordingly.

Provide support to our clients regarding other non-life assignments (reserving, reinsurance, Solvency 2, IFRS17).

Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements

Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant experience as a non-life pricing actuary (as a consultant or in the industry). Experience in commercial lines pricing is an asset.

You are familiar with statistical software and programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python) for data manipulation and analysis.

Proven expertise in developing and implementing technical and commercial pricing models for various non-life insurance products, including commercial lines.

Expertise in competition analysis and profitability analysis is an asset.

Preferably, you are fluent in French or Dutch, with a professional knowledge of English.

Experience in reserving, reinsurance, Solvency 2 and/or IFRS17 is an asset.

You are autonomous, proactive and critical, with good analytical and summarizing skills.

You have good interpersonal and communication skills.
